Pork Fiesta with Leonardo's

After 2 years, it's time to revive my blog with more food reviews. Reason? Lack of initiatives, passions, laziness, blah blah blah~ Finally, I find out today is a special day to begin with my food journey again, 12/12/12, once in a century.

Without any delay, let's start with some food-tos!

Crispy Bacon Lollipop - A great kick start of pork fiesta with breaded pork balls on satay sticks served with a tangy mayo based sauce. A sinful starter for the night.

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms (RM 23) - generous stuffing of bacon, tomato and cheese on this palm-sized mushrooms (vegetarian option available). Mushroom lovers, don't miss it!!

Some of you might be able to recognize this place by just the first few pictures. Yeah! This is Leonardo's Dining Room & Wine Loft.

Barista with a wide range of wine. Proceed to the upper floor for more options.

A restaurant with cosy vintage decoration and serves variety pork dishes
(for me it's an advantage), Leonardo's is definitely a great place for your dates.

Mamma mia pizza (RM 35) - a rectangular thin crust pizza cut in six pieces topped with jamon serrano (dry-cured Spanish ham), rocket, and mozzarella cheese. A great pizza I would say.

Fettuccine Carbonara (RM 30) - served with real bacon and mushroom, and this is one of the stickiest carbonara that I had thus far, and would appreciate if it's served with more "real bacon".
Definitely not that bit!

Hawaiian Pineapple BBQ Pork Ribs (RM 49) - served with roast potato and corn salsa or cilantro salsa. The meat was tender and well-marinated but not sensationally succulent,
and served with over-tangy  pineapple sauce.

A meal without dessert is incomplete.

It is not until your spoon breaks through the Chocolate Volcano's (RM23) outer crust, watching the warm ooey-gooey center flowing out. It has a rich and chocolately flavor, and a texture that is dense and moist. It's fantastic!

A Steak Sensation Love

Have you all watched "Remember Me" starred by Robert Pattinson? I remember that's a scene that Tyler first dated Ally, Ally told the waiter that she wants her dessert being served before the appetizer and the main course... Tyler was curious, why would she wanted her dessert to be served at the first place, just like what you curious about...Right? Go find out yourselves, you will find the answer which is very interesting but also kinda weird... And she inspired me how important role the dessert plays in a meal, especially for girls. Trust me! It's sure a nice movie that you can't miss out in your movie list.

Sorry, I'm not a film critic but just another food blogger that wanna share my FOOD experiences with all of you. This is my very first blog, so i was just trying to fill my first post with more sensation. (I hope this will never ruin my blog...)

The first image above is crema brulee, the name shown in the menu, which i think for more accurately, it should be named as Crème brûlée. the dessert that served after our main course at Maredo's Steakhouse.

Maredo's is famous with its very best Argentinean cuisine, which is their beef. Argentine beef is highly prized for its tenderness and flavors. Each order is cooked to perfection over a wood charcoal grill to bring out the best flavors of the steak.

We ordered Grilled Rib-Eye Steak with medium rare, which served with grilled tomato, corn on the cob, grilled vegetables of the day and mashed potato. For our choice of sauce, we chose the shallots red wine sauce as it is highly recommended by the captain. The steak was grilled to perfectly match our desire, which is warm and red in the center. Every bites was so real, tender and succulent. We can sense the very true taste of the beef in the mouth. The taste was so "original".

For our second main course, we chose their Braised Lamb Shank, which is said to be the most popular pick after their steak, by the captain. The Lamb Shank taste so amazing in their special red wine gravy till we finished the very last drop of sauce, and it's served with roasted potato and asparagus. This is the best lamb shank i ever had before. It was so juicy and of course, again, perfectly match with their chef's secret gravy.

We ordered only 2 main courses even we are three, because the girls wanna leave a space in their stomach for the desserts. Anyway, these 2 main course will definitely enough to blow your taste buds.

After the first crema brulee, my sister decided to grasp another for her satisfaction, simply because it tastes so good, which nobody can resist to double the order.

Here are some pics of the restaurant:

The dinner was marvelous but it costs RM200 for 3 of us. Anyway, Maredo's still worth a try if you are a steak lover. Their steak is just so nice till you can't resist the temptation. Or maybe you can try their promotion lunch set before you move forward to their real steak menu... You can always check out the latest promotions on their website.
